In their own words
Amherst College Mock Trial competes with schools across the country as a member of the American Mock Trial Association. We are given a fictitious case at the beginning of the year and work together to develop questions, practice performing character roles (attorneys and witnesses), and learn about law and the federal rules of evidence. Mock Trial is a great opportunity to improve your public speaking, argumentative, and teamwork skills -- even if you aren't interested in a career in law. We spend 3-5 weekends per year away from campus at invitationals and championship series tournaments.
