Urban Sketching Club

Urban Sketching Club enables students to observe urban environments and create comprehensive sketches that illustrate the relationships among places and things within a functional urban environment and the interactions among people therein. To explore sketching, experimenting with various mediums, and urban locations that both inspire through beauty and inform through functionality. In essence, sketching is a conduit for exploring and deeply analyzing urban spaces to become more intuitive designers, architects, urban planners, visual communicators, artists, and civil engineers. Each site we sketch will first be given a brief historical introduction providing architectural historians, and architecture critics with supplemental instruction.
